This collection contains 74 diaries of Dr. Edward Rich and his wife Almira. They begin in 1892 and run through 1965. The bulk of this collection centers on Almira's diaries that run from 1897-1947. During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Ellis, Mrs. John Lindquist Mrs Adam Patterson Jr Mrs Clam May Patterson, Mrs Wallace H. Ellis Mrs Albert Baten Mrs Louis H. Peery, Mrs Clark L. Rich, Mrs. Clinton L. Pugmire, Mrs Ralph Pugmire, Mrs LeRoy Pugmire, Mrs Harry W. Reed Mrs Mariner A. Browning Mrs Joseph W. Brewer Mrs Junior E Rich Mrs Royal Eccles, Mrs Heber C Hancock, Mrs John C. Hancock Mrs Ralph W. Hardy S.L.C. Miss Gladys Rich Mr & Mrs Austine Segar gave several songs. Thursday, April 13 Spent the fornoon with Bell Wilson looking over old plates & photographs for Weber Co. History. At 2 P.M. D.U.P. Com. held meeting here on arranging for a fair in June also to get plan for sale of our history. Richard B. Rich was operated for Adnoids etc. in Los Angeles. He and Ruth attend Sunday School at Beverly Hill Ward L.A. Mary and I went to see Dorothy Crawford in her original character sketches at O.H. Auditorium. Friday, April 14 I entertained 12 or 15 close friends this afternoon at lunch. Cleone & Maren gave some musical selections. Those present were Amelia Flygare, Ida Treeseder, Claria Brewer, Julia parry, Martha Cooley, Elizabeth Thomas. Jennie Campbell, Ray Middelton, Pearl Barns, Polly Jones. Friday, April 7 Mrs Royal Eccles gave dinner party for Charles Smart after which the evening was spent in dancing at the home of Major & Mrs Junior E. Rich Saturday, April 15 Have written some letters today also did some streighting up after a very full week. Still receiving letters & cards of Congratulation from out of the state. Oertel came up from Salt lake City to visite with Mary who is staying over for a few days. Oertel likes her work at Z.C.M.I. |
