Description	This collection contains 74 diaries of Dr. Edward Rich and his wife Almira. They begin in 1892 and run through 1965. The bulk of this collection centers on Almira's diaries that run from 1897-1947. During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins.

OCR Text	Show Tuesday, May 2 I attended 5 Ward R.S. Mrs. Tillitson gave a very fine lesson on the 13th Article of Faith. This ends a three year course we have had on the Articles of Faith text book Talmages commentary on the same. A wonderful course have been obliged to miss many of the lessons but have enjoyed those I have heard. Writers see Plane of Future, 400 Passanger Wood Model. Most anything can happen after this War. Wednesday, May 3 It is good to have the sun shine. Do not accomplish much today. Wrote some letters. Called with Dr to see Mary (Myrenes baby who is a darling & smart as a whip) Myrene has no help so has plenty to do with a family of six children. She gets along fine. Maren and Ralph Hardy left last night for a three week trip to New York Marens first visite there her mother Cleone R Eccles is caring for the two children. They called today also Elizabeth Thomas. Dr & I attended Open House for Capt. & Mrs. W. Com. Thursday, May 4 A letter from Mary Peery. Have written two letters today one to Oscar Russell in Washington D.C. Dr and I attended Knife & Fork club dinner. Will Durant was the guest speaker subject What are the lessons of history. About 200 present. Of our family Cleone, Royal, Blanch, Myrene and my Sister Lucile, Dr. Elaine & their son John. When I came home discovered I had left the electric stove on & a pot roast was burned to a crisp & such a house full of smoke. Friday, May 5 Recd a very nice birthday letter from Junior. He said he may fly home for my birthday. I have cleaned all day to try and elimiate some of the terriable odor of burnt meat but to little avail. Fortunate the house did not catch afire. Cleone called. Rose Mary Scoville who is now married called. Her husband has been sent some where to work & she & her baby are here. Baked bread and some other housework. Yesterday afternoon Elizabeth Thomas was my guest in afternoon to a picture show.
