Knife, Forkers to Get Low Down Sydney R. Montague, who speaks Oct. 13 under auspices of the Ogden Knife and Fork club, is an exmember of the Royal Canadian mounted police, with which he served six years. For more than three years he was on Arctic patrol, with headquarters at Port Burwell, a small island at the entrance to Hudson strait, on the edge of Baffin land. Montague declares the interdependence of the Arctic and the countries now engulfed in war is often overlooked. What part will the arctic play in this war? What are her connections with the allied nations as compared with those of the aggressor? What will be the results of the ultimate victory to the far north? These questions will be answered. The rapid development of arctic air routes and the new and projected Canadian air routes were interrupted by the war, but Mr. Montague, in a recent trip to the north, obtained important information about these developments and their continuation when the war is over.
