Worked two years as field secretary for Girl Scouts. Married in 1944 to a Signal Corps lieutentant, Lester Van Tatenhove, who was an attorney and is now a Superior Court Judge. Two grown boys, one girl, a grandson and a granddaughter. While children were young, was a Girl Scout leader. Cub Scout leader, PTA positions from bottom to top, Sunday School teacher, youth advisor and deacon in Presbyterian Church. Active in community organizations, currently president of Orange County United Nations Association. Hobbies: bridge, tennis, eating "out" with friends and being a grandmother. Love to travel, Caribbean, Mexico, Orient. Just returned from five weeks in Asia. HEBER C. DAVISON 1842 North 2300 West, Ogden, Utah 84404 731-3557 Served four years in the Army during World War II. Owned Davison Transfer which later incorporated with Mollerup Van Lines. Foreman and manager for 25 years of Mollerup in Ogden. Now at Hill Field as an inspector for the moving of all DDO famiies. Had two TDY tours in Vietnam during that war and had rare opportunity to see one of sons while there. Married to Lila LaDean Taylor, seven children (four girls, three boys), all graduates of Weber High, one graduated Weber College. Boys all served in Vietnam. Fourteen grandchildren. HELEN DE BOER BARLOW Route 2, Jerome, Idaho 324-5145 Graduated from Weber State in 1941, married to Joseph W. Barlow in 1943, moved to Idaho in 1948. Six children (Brent, Carol, Jean, Kenneth, Connie and Jeff) and 14 grandchildren. Active in L.D.S. Church. Served as chorister in most of church organizations. Met returning missionary son in Hawaii. Currently taking classes at College of Southern Idaho where husband works. Hobbies: music, sewing, machine embroidery, making things for grandchildren. CATHERINE DE MIK CHATFIELD 434 Churchill Drive, Bloomington, Utah 84770 673-9048 Attended Weber College, met and married Norman Chatfield in June 1940. Husband retired Naval Reserve Officer. Established homes in many states: Wyoming, Texas, Florida, California, Hawaii, Virginia, Massachusetts and again in Utah. Four married children, 14 grandchildren. Recently sold an advertising business and a laundromat in Central Utah and moved to Utah's Dixie to retire. Mainly a wife and mother but was an assistant teacher in a socio-economically deprived school. Active L.D.S. member, having been Relief Society President in two wards, Stake Education Counselor and teacher in many organizations. Was an "extra" in the movie "Harry's War" being filmed in Southern Utah. BERNIE R. Food and sugar broker for 10 years, executive vice president and manager of Ogden Chamber of Commerce & Weber County Industrial Bureau for 10 years, Thiokol Corp for 17 years. Served for a year as National Director, Community Relations, OEO, Executive office of the President in Washington, D.C. Ogden City Councilman 1963-69, Assistant Mayor of Ogden 1965-66. Currently Director of Program Development, Education and Training at Thiokol and vice president of Willard Bay Recreation Corp. Hobbies: golf, travel and quiz show contestant. Won $14,300 with wife on "Gambit". Toured Europe and enjoyed several cruises. Will escort a cruise from Ogden to the Caribbean in January 1980. Writes jokes - see Playboy Magazine for June 1979. Married to VerBena M. Brostrom (class of 1940) one grown son and two daughters, 11 grandchildren, all living in Ogden area. Named "most outstanding young man" in Ogden, 1955. Ferrin Larkin and had three sons and three daughters. The sixth will graduate from college this year. Their advanced degrees include two doctors and two masters degrees. Seven grandchildren. After raising six children, got a media/library degree and worked at WSC library, was in charge of the media/library center at Ogden High and now at Weber College as a cataloger. Active in L.D.S. Church, held many positions including Ward Relief Society President, Stake MIA President and Weber College Stake Relief Society President. First husband died in 1965 ; two girls and two boys, all married, four grandsons and one granddaughter. Now married to LaMar D. Hardy. Active in L.D.S. Church, a Golden Gleaner, MIA teacher, counselor, president, five years on Primary Stake Board; ward and stake dance director. On Board of Directors of Heritage Square Homeowners Association for six years, just re-elected as secretary. Hobbies: oil painting, knitting, crochet, embroidery and dancing. Four children, three girls and one boy and 8 grandchildren. Plans a trip to England in fall to visit daughter and her family there. FRANKLIN N. Currently owns and operates typesetting and graphics business in North Hollywood. Married Ervin E. Wegman, Army Air Force pilot, during World War II. He still holds private pilot license and they fly "just for fun." Enjoy the outdoors and camping. Three daughters: Luana has corporate position with Bonneville in Salt Lake. Kathleen and husband own a jewelry store in Hemet, California; they have three young sons. Becky is married, lives in Los Angeles and works with mother in graphics. Active in L.D.S. church. Loves golf, snorkeling and travel. Participated, with husband, in the King Hassan Golf Tournament 1978 in Rabat, Morocca. Traveled in Europe, Africa, South and Central America, Mexico, Canada, Orient, Alaska, Hawaii. Fished at Great Slave Lake in Northwest Territory and snorkeled off islands of the Caribbean. Member of Waif International, an organization assisting runaway and homeless children.
