In return for these concessions, a withdrawal of Russian objections to fortification of the Aland islands.Following are the terms on which the Russo-Finnish war was settled1. Russia gets whole Karelianisthmus and entire shore of Lake Ladoga.2. Russia to lease Hangoe and adjoining territory for 30 years as naval base.3. Russia gets Ribnii and Srenti peninsulas in north part of East Finland.4. Trade negotiations between two countries to begin immediately.5. Finland not to maintain warships, submarines or aircraft in Arctic waters, except small coast guard vessels.6. Russia undertakes to remove troops from Petsamo, but will have free transit of goods through that Arctic port to and from Norway without customs control.7. Railway to be constructed in 1940 from Russian town of Kandalashka 140 miles to Kemijaervi in north central Finland.8. Troops to be moved to new Finnish-soviet border by 10 a. m. March 15.9. Hostilities to cease at noon Wednesday.
