Show Dr. Alan J. Dayley, Dean of Students DEANS ASSIST STUDENTS Dr. Alan J. Dayley was appointed as the new Dean of Students on November 15, 1965. Prior to being appointed to this position, he was the Dean of Men at Weber State. A graduate of Brigham Young University, he earned a Master's Degree from the University of Utah. His Ph.D was earned from the University of Utah with a major in educational psychology. At Weber State Dr. Dayley holds the rank of Assistant Professor. Dean Day-ley served on the Committee for the Employment of the Physically and Mentally Disabled and the Community Council of Social Services. Marvin J. Peterson was appointed as the new Dean of Men at Weber State College for the 1967-68 school year. Dean Peterson was a former faculty member in the old Division of Physical Education. Dean Peterson served as advisor to the men of Weber State in all their student organizations. Dean Marva H. Gregory has served Weber State for twenty-two years. As Dean of Women she supervised all the activities of the women's organizations on campus. As well as assisting in extra-curricular activities, she was available for personal counseling. Marv Peterson, Dean of Men Marva H. Gregory, Dean of Women Dean Milton C. Mecham, Dean of Admissions and Records Weber State College Dean of Admissions and Records, Milton C. Mecham, has served in his present position since 1961. A graduate of the University of Utah, Dean Mecham was granted his Master's Degree in physical education and educational administration from the same institution. Before his coming to Weber State, Dean Mecham was the assistant football coach and a physical education instructor at the University of Utah. Prior to his appointment as Dean of Admissions and Records, Dean Mecham has served the school as Dean of Men, Veteran's coordinator, Placement Director, physical education instructor, assistant football coach and head football coach. Other administrative assistants who served Weber State during the past year were, Dee Flitton, the new Director of Institutional Research; Fred Johnson, the Director of Campus Planning; James R. Tolman, Head Librarian; and Louis A. Gladwell, the Director of the Information Services. These men performed many tasks which were vital to the changing atmosphere at Weber State College. These men were a part of the dynamic leadership that helped promote the metamorphosis of Weber State.
