Show Monday, Jan. 4, Salt Lake reported 30 below zero last night We about the same. Nan & I to Sunday School at 10 & stayed to fast meeting after Had dinner at home later pm eve Janet & Laurie called pm. I tripped over bottom step of attic stair & got a bad bruise Alone ever writing various appointments. Stayed in bed until am. to doctor my bruised leg. Sun shining brightly on ground cover of snow. Brunch at 230pm Nan put in a busy day of washing She has also took down the Xmas tree & put away ornaments. A cold day about 20 below zero all day Felt quite fine up all day. Tuesday, Jan. 5, Rather a restless night Felt not above much. Made a project of writing thank you notes & got 12 sent. Children coasting on out hill I finished reading the Solemn Aleichem The door opener fixed. Nan got more tidying done. Arch called from Salt Lake. Tuesday Xmas lights down from outside tree Garage door opener fixed. Temperature chill low about 20 degrees day 5 degrees above nights Another cold bright day. I still cleaning away paper. Nans pm out. I to LL Club at country club at luncheon & book review buy Bella Walker. Blanche Rich provided transportation Reading to we Nan home early. Thursday, Jan. 7, Weather moderating some. At home with usual routine. For supper we invited Edith & Madeline & Mary. Nan had cooked our hospital gift turkey. A good dinner & nice visit after Nan took our visitors home. Friday, Jan. 8, A cloudy am but warmer Marie cam at 3 pm. We fixed Bills accounts & rent out. Blanche Johnston called in eve. Weather warmer. Saturday, Jan. 9, To Salt Lake for funeral. Don took Betty Edith. Nan me in her Chrysler. Home 530 Nan out in eve. My ear lobes are infected. infected ugly & painful. |
