Bought a cooler from Mr. Walsh who came & installed it. Visited Betty, Don & ride. Betty away on a trip. Tuesday, Aug. 16, This am weather so cool we were tempted to turn on the furnace leaving out new cooler inactive. Mrs. Parker came to an hair do at awnings. 10 am Rode around to look at awnings. Mary Sajewsky brot my fur stole Dressed for wedding. Nan took me to church for ceremony. We went at 830 to Fishers for huge reception at 500. Home early & read pap. Wednesday, Nans pm out. She took me to Bettys to spend the pm. Betty talked & quilted & I knitted & Knitted Nan brot me home at 5 I have new reading book Readers Digest. Nan home early. Nice weather just right Thursday, Aug, 18, Nan & I down town pm. Saw Bent 2, re bills for Nans car. In am I to Dr. Olson at hospital. he says Aunt Belle (Hetzel) all OK from Iowa came with Alice & we had a good lunch out. Then down town as above. Alice left 2 girls with us while she & Charles had visitors to Gray Cliff in eve we finished papers. Friday our usual I to the Co office at 2. met Marie & got safety box fixed & bills paid. Mr. Poplin fixing up house payment. Nan to Salt Lake 430. Henry & Gary moved refrigerator into Utility room & Henry sorted books, etc. The painters started to paint roof. Saturday Nan & I to Simply Floral & ordered plants for terrace boxes. Dinner at home. Laurie called. Nan to Scotts to visit brother & family. Sunday, Aug. 21, (Sunday School 10 am) Bob Barker & 3 boys visited.
