Show Sunday good programs on TV. No visitors & no family calls. Monday, Feb. 1, Got Readers Digest & spent some pleasurable time listening. Nan busy with washing & ironing. A gloomy, uninspiring day. Did not venture out until 6 pm when we drove to P.O. & did some errands for Nan. Nan out in the eve 730 to 930. I am able to see a little better with lens Dr. Nielson fixed for me. Tuesday, Feb. 2, Rain & snow during night. the ground hog saw his shadow. so six more week of this! Feel almost myself this am. Nan took reading machine & exchange it for a better one. Got new Readers Digest by mail, Rather a weary day. Weather still bad. Checker in eve, Henry visited in later p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, Still lots of snow around but still winter weather. I feel much better but getting tired of secquestrative. Nan out 4 to 930 Gave check for 10 dollars league gift. Busied myself with reading etc. All grieved over death of Mrs. Shaws (nurse) husband & 2 children. Thursday, Feb.4, A slow day. Nan had two daughters visit her. At 5 pm went out with Nan for groceries & a short ride Sun shining for a change Friday, Feb. 5, Rather a drizzly day Got a new reading book Longfellow Tales of Wayside Inn, which I began Its going to be more instructive & interesting. Marie came & we got all fixed up with bills & accounts, Nan down to Dr. Olson appointment & did various errands a quiet eve. Have felt better today. Saturday, Feb. 6, Having much pleasure in hearing the Longfellow book. a nice ride in the bright sunshine pm. Saw Letz & baby at hospital. Sweet David Lawrence Dee!
