Show No company. Laurie & Janet in Calif. Monday, Sept. 19, Made time to read some of the radio bible, very fine. Nan had Melba & Tommy to visit. Nan took me to the Blind Inst. for Braille practice. To market for supplies. In eve we read Copperfield (Nan & I went thrunew house next door) Tuesday, Sept. 20, In am & listened to session of program of United Nations. Frederick Baland new Pres. Salt capital bd. meeting at 3. And interesting session. Pres Isaacson not present. Laurie proceeded & brot me home. Nan & I for a long ride with supper at the Sands at Clearfield. Did marketing. Read Dickens eve. Relief Society Teacher called am. I reading am. Early lunch Nan out p.m. Miss McCracken came 7 pm We spent 2 hours reading. Early American writers. Cooper, Irving . Nan home early. We read Copperfield. (Marie came at 5 & we fixed up accounts) cooler weather. The summer sure over. Thursday, Sept. 22, making preparations for Acacia tomorrow. Henry came in pm & got out chairs, etc. Gary getting garden in nice shape. I to Acacia Club at Cleones in eve. Went with Alice & party. I enjoyed a reunion with precious friends after Club vacation. Friday, Sept 23, Acacia Club day Busy am with arrangements Ms. Holly came at 11 and at 1 pm served nice luncheon to us. A nice meeting, being in reality a dedication of my new home. Lovely speech by Allie Lowe. presenting a nice floral gift from the club, program by Norma Evans. Kruger & Alicia a prayer for Fawn McKey offered by Lettie Bunton. All away by s5. Sat Sept 24. Busy cleaning up after yesterdays party. Henry came & put away chairs & vacuumed the rooms. In eve Nan & I for a nice ride. Sunday to Sunday School am early dinner. Nan left for Salt Lake. |
