Show A good nights rest. Got up at 11. To Clarke breakfast. In room to Fern came & we went to church. Nan took 2 hour walk to get favors for dinner. Wed night. Breakfast & lunch at hotel restaurant. Moved to room on 1st floor 126 18.53 dollars per day. Fern came & we went to her home to spend the pm.we visited & the nice dinner, until 11. Tuesday Breakfast at hotel. A cold & gloomy am. A nice long ride with Henry. To the lake (Erie) & around the big city. Nan went to top of Transportation Tower. Wrote to Rosabelle & several cards. Dinner at hotel. Wednesday, Oct. 26, Calming this am. We slept in late. Brunch at dining room at noon. Reading in room pm. Good articles in Sat. Eve. Post. Fern came at 545. To Green River for a fine dinner for 8. The family visited us at the room to 11 pm. Still raining. Have had such a nice visit with Fern & Frank and their lovely children. Thursday, Oct. 27, A gloomy am with rain. Breakfast at hotel. Paid bill 9.19 dollars & got all packed up. Fern took us airport Left at 2 pm Ar. Washington 330. Peggy met us & took us to Kenwood Carb. where we has a nice room. Supper at hotel. Reading in eve. A nice place lots of room to move around. Friday, Oct. 28, Breakfast at hotel A rainy gloomy am. Peggy came 1130. To looked at pewter Peggy bought me a clock (birthday). To Lord & Taylors, Lunch at Bird Cage. Looked at pewter & many other things. Back at hotel. Supper. In eve Meg & escort called, Later Peggy & Arch came for visit lasting to 1230. Saturday, Oct. 29, To Wax Museum (Arch & family) To destroyer Frame. Lunch at a Hot Skippy Home at 5. at a reading story of a bomb in Richmond Arch & Peg at 11. To their house for visit & lunch.
