Show before coming home to be shut in. Nan went out for a little errand. Then came home to stay. Betty, Pam and (4) children visited in eve. The heaviest snow storm we have so far had. Gary shoveled snow last night & again to day. Ate lunch 27th St. Nan out in am with Betty until 2 pm. & again for shopping for me in later pm. I wrote letter to Winifred & Gladys. Sent out parcel to Fern & Peggy. Talked on phone with Peggy this eve, Fern called last night The baby is David Stoddard Woodburys. Tuesday 6, To Dr. Olson am. He says my condition is good. Henry came & got chairs & I placed for Them. Club. At 3 pm Nan & I down town. At hotel arranged for Christmas dinner with Mrs. Monroe. Later at Walfers store decorations. Got a dress & a gift for Jimmie at Wests. Bad wind during night Thursday, Henry came & dressed fire place surrounding Nativity scene. Very beautiful. Preparations for D of UP meeting all completed by 130 when company came. Rosabelle is deciding hostess. helped Nan serve to 22 guests. Cleone Eccles gave a paper on Music in early Utah days. Leah Greenwell gave play of Sarah Tarr. Cerola were giving a good meeting. All gone by 330. Nan & I quieted down for the eve. Friday 9, Nan & I out before noon shopping. Books at Bookmark & at Ben Marche. Lunch at Ben Marche (sickening food) Baskets at Alberstons. Henry cleared away party chairs Marie came & we got bills paid & balance made. Nan out in eve. TV & radio for me. very stupid. Friday. Betty & Paul came. Nan out shopping with them until 130. Busy wrapping gifts pm. Saturday, Dec. 10, Nan went down town & did shopping for both of us, all Christmas arrangements Nan out in eve. at a party. Sunday, Dec. 11, Anniversary of my dear husbands death. Memories with me all day bless him. Nan & I to Sunday School. Got turkey, etc. from Mrs. |
