Show Academic Information For students carrying fewer than 10 hours, the charge for each course is published in the Summer School Schedule. All fees for the quarter are due and payable at the Treasurer's Office at the time of registration. The student whose check is dishonored by his bank will be charged $3.00 for handling. SPECIAL FEES Special Students (Less than 10 hours)—$6.50 a credit hour, minimum fee, $20.00. Building fee $3.00 per quarter. Lecture fee 50 cents per quarter. Audit Courses—These are courses in which no credit is desired. A charge of $10.00 for each subject is levied. Registration as an auditor is permitted in lecture courses only; no student participation is permitted. Laboratory and activity courses are not considered audit courses. Audit courses in Evening School are not permitted. A person taking a course without credit must pay the full fee. Teaching Fee—A charge of $25.00 per student is assessed against education majors during the quarter in which their off- campus teaching occurs. Evening Courses—The charge for each Evening School course is published in the Evening School Schedule. Any Evening School student will be charged a lecture fee of 50 cents a quarter and a building fee of $3.00 a quarter regardless of the number of quarter hours for which he enrolls. Ceramics Lab Fee—All day and evening students in ceramic labs will be assessed a $7.50 ceramic lab fee each quarter. Special Examination—A charge of $6.50 a credit hour will be charged to those who wish to earn credit by special examination. American College Test 7.00 General Educational Development Test 7.00 Educational Test Battery 3.00 Strong Vocational Interest Blank 1.00 Late Registration (Day)—A late registration fee of $5.00 is assessed beginning with the first day general college instruction begins for the quarter. An additional $1.00 a day is assessed for each additional day up to a maximum of $10.00. Registration is not complete until the student has paid his fee at the Treasurer's Office. Late Registration (Evening)—A late registration fee of $2.00 is assessed beginning with the first day general college evening instruction begins for the quarter. Exceptions may be 60 Academic Information made when classes are added to the schedule and when new courses are scheduled for a later date. Registration Changes—A fee of $1.00 is assessed after the first week of the quarter for every subject added to the student's original registration. Locker Rental—Wardrobe lockers are available for student use for a rental charge of 50 cents a school year or portion thereof. In addition, $1.00 deposit is required on all lockers. This sum is refunded when the locker key is turned in or when the locker is vacated. No refund will be made if the key is not returned. Lockers are required of all students taking physical education or laboratory classes. See Refunds (below) for other refund provisions. Lockers may be secured from the Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds. Cap and Gown Fee (payable at Bookstore by all graduates) ($1.00 refundable) $5.50 Graduation Fee 5.00 Make-up Examination (each subject) 1.00 Recording Fee (each course) for special cases 2.00 Transcript of Credits 1.00 Initial transcript is $1.00. Each additional copy is 25 cents. A student is entitled to one free transcript. DEPOSITS Breakage—Breakage deposit is required for the following laboratory course in the amount indicated: Chemistry $5.00 Refunds will be made on unused portions of breakage deposit fees. The signature of the laboratory instructor is required to secure any breakage deposit fee refunds. No refunds will be made after June 30 of the school year in which the deposits are paid. Miscellaneous—Deposits are required on the following items: Gymnasium lock and locker check $3.00 A refund of $2.50 will be made if the lock is returned. No refund will be made after June 30 of the school year in which the deposits are paid. REFUNDS Tuition and Other Fees—Tuition and other fees will be refunded according to the schedule provided below to any student in residence who, upon proper application to the Registrar's Office, withdraws from school before the end of the 61 |
