School Organization, Management and Law—An overview of the general patterns of organization and administration of educational programs with particular emphasis on human relations and interactions. Teaching Reading in the Primary Grades—Analysis of developmental reading skills, with emphasis on readiness for reading, phonic and structural analysis, work recognition, use of the basal reader, and reading for various purposes. Teaching Reading in the Intermediate Grades—-Analysis of developmental and functional reading skills, with emphasis on structural analysis, use of the basal reader, meaning difficulties, reading study skills, reading for various purposes, and developing versatility. Kindergarten and Primary Education—The learning characteristics and learning needs of young children and how these are provided for in the program of the kindergarten and first grade. (3) Glade 146.
