Columbus January 24 Thurs. A stormy day rain and freezing. Wrote to Avon, Jr., and Gladys Brown. Oertel took Dr and I into the hospital at 9 A.M. Mary was very tired having slept but a little her first night without a special nurse. Ate a fair breakfast but is worrying about her father going home. I stayed with her for a while and there Oertel Dr and I went over to University Club and had lunch after which we drover Bexley to see the first house they have. Also we drove up above the university to see that section these went over to the University Museum to see Indian Mound exhibits very fine. At 7-30 P.M. Dr took train for Philadelphia to see Thair. Heber and Lucile talked to me over phone from N.Y. also talked to Mathew Everson. Columbus. January 25 Cold. Friday. Oertel and I went into the hospital at one P.M. found Mary much better. I made chicken and homemade noodle soup for her which she enjoyed. After staying with her for a while we went downtown and I bought me three fine dresses for twenty dollars, 2 of these nice wool and one silk print. Also bought some nice hose and underware which were on sail at Lazerus. Had a nice dinner also saw Mary again at five thirty P.M. At seven P.M. Janath Oertel and I went to the Village Picture Show and enjoyed seeing Buzz Barton in Barton Lou Bay it was real good. Had a letter from Ruth Tawnley. Little Carol is so good and such an interesting child.
