Show Sunday December 29 Dr and I drove to Salt lake to hear Handels Messiah given in the Tabernacle under the direction of Squire Cap and Sponsored by the many churches of Salt Lake City also large commercial and Industrial Co. it was free to all who cared to go 10000 people were in attendance as an over flow was held in the Asembly hall where they listened in on radio. Oren and Mae Cozzens met us and afterward we had a nice dinner at Hotel Utah. We also saw and spoke to Senator Reed Smoot and Congressman Dan b. Cotton who were here to attend the funeral of Representative Letherwood who died suddenly in Wash D.C. a few days ago. Called on my brother Earls family Monday December 30 A buisy morning at home. Spent this afternoon at Avons she gave a luncheon for Cleone who is leaving Sunday Jan. 4 1930 with Royal for a trip round the World. Mary and Katherine Fisher Laura Romney Dorothy Patterson Mrs Hillebrut Gene Ellis, Myrene and Blanch were present. |
