Show Sunday. October 20. Dr ate very little breakfast so I prepared a nice duck dinner with dressing, mince pie etc Joe Myrene Avon Charles and the babies ate with us Dr and Joe named their baby Charlene. All the children who live in Ogden have called at some time today. Charles and I rode out to Peterson with Dr. a wonderful day splendid new road so we enjoyed it very much. Gladys Knowles and I went to Sacrament meeting in the 18th Ward. Avon and the Fisher girls played over the Radio at Bigelow Hotel we listened in and also to bishop O.F. Whitney on the first principels of the Gospel. A day well spent. Monday. October 21. This morning I cleaned all the kitchen and porch, breakfast room cupboards. This afternoon I attended Pioneer Board meeting at five oclock Mrs Lizzie Thomas and I came home and listened in to the wonderful Programmed tendered to Thomas Edison by Henry Ford at Dear Bonne Mich. President Herbert Hoover gave a take also Edison 50 yr today since the first successful electric light was made by Thomas Edison. Also listened to the first radio broad cast ever given from Germany by congratulating Edison. A letter from Mary she likes her school very much. |
