Appalled by the nations automobile accident deaths in 1934 the most ever recorded and only 412 less than, all American soldiers killed in battle during the world war state legislatures today were considering drastic measures designed to reduce the mounting toll. Members of the A.E.F. officially listed as killed in action totalled 35,912. Deaths attributed to auto accidents last year were listed by the National Safety council as 35,500, compared with 31,363 in 1933, and 33,675 in 1931, the previous peak year.
