Death Takes Man of Golden Spike Fame OMAHA. Neb., May 25 Thomas ODonnoll, 93, veteran Omaha railroad man, died at his home here today after a long illness. Union Pacific System officials said ODonnell was the last living official member of the group that participated in the driving of the golden spike at Promontory, Utah, May 10, 1869, when the Union Pacific and Central Pacific met to complete their cross country line. |
