Show Columbus. January 26 Saturday. This morning Oertel and I drove into the Hospital about eleven oclock. Mary did not feel extra well but this evening seemed to be better, as she was able to retain her supper. Oertel and I did some shopping and arrived home at six P.M. Oscar took in a radio for Mary this evening. Had a letter from Mr Paulson in Elgin. Still Have not felt real well for a day or two. This evening Janath, Oertel and I played Ludo. Wrote a letter to Mac and Oren. Oertel has a very good maid named Flora Lee pays her fifteen dollars a month. Would love to have a letter from home. Mary is doing with one special nurse. Columbus January 27 Sunday. Dr came home from Phil. this A.M. left Thair and Cloetel and Richard fine. Enjoyed his visite. Twenty eight years since he had been there. He called on one of his old teachers. Dr now 92 who was pleased to see him. Also met Dean Pepper of U of Penn. Junior graduated also. Thair will under him. Dr called to see Mary this A.M. and she feels much better than she did yesterday. Had a good night. Oertel, and Janath and Carol went to Sunday School. I have written letters to Mrs. Petty and Gladys Bevan. Dr went to see Mary she was very much surprised as she did not expect to see him here again. Dr took the seven P.M. train for Cleveland. It has snowed quite a lot. Bought it today. |
