During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show Friday. April 5. It is the little things that matter and where we often fail. Lord Listes. Snowing hard. Mr Oliver Ellis audited the books of the Central Co. Daughters of Utah Pioneers for me reported same and in good condition I have now served on Central board for two years as auditor. Attended Annual encampment of D. of U.P two sessions and Luncheon. All new officers elected were very fine. Great honor was shown Mrs Fannie Woodruff who has served four yr as Pres Mrs Kate C Snow was elected Pres for the coming two yr. Banquet and meetings held at Hotel Utah. I went down with Mrs Karl Hopkins in can and it snowed so much it made driving bad. Came back on train. Word recd that Richard had been operatedSat. April 6. Ninety Nine years today since the organization of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days by the Prophet Joseph Smith I have listened to most of the Conference over the radio here at home. Have also with good help cleaned three front rooms. Paper, paint, windows etc. This A.M. at six oclock Avon gave birth to a 8 # girl at the Dee Hospital her father attended her. June and I were also present. She had a very normal labor. Received word this A.M. that Richard had the other mastoid operated and is very sick temperature 104. We are so worried as it is very serious hope to hear better news in the morning. |
