Show Services of the College College Bookstore—The College Bookstore, located on the ground floor of the Union Building, is the source for all college text books and supplies. The bookstore will be open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. daily, Monday through Friday. The evening hours will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Monday and Tuesday of each week. During the first two weeks of the quarter the bookstore is open from 8:00 a.m. until 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Security and Traffic—The Security Office is a protective agency established for the benefit of the students, faculty, visitors and staff. It maintains effective liaison with the local police department, and is entrusted with the proper enforcement of campus rules and regulations. All matters concerning security, safety, or requiring police action should be referred to this office. Another major responsibility of the Security Office is the control of campus motor vehicle traffic and parking. In each academic year faculty, staff members and students who regularly or occasionally operate motor vehicles on campus shall register any such motor vehicle with the College Security Department. All students, faculty, and staff members, who plan to park on campus between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. on school days must display a parking permit on their motor behicles. The parking permit is $3.00 per year. The Security Office also offers many other services to all students, faculty, and staff members, including emergency motor service, transportation, lost and found department, emergency notification of off-campus students, and first aid. The Security office is located at 4040 Tyler Ave., Ogden, Utah. If you are temporarily residing in Utah for the primary purpose of attending Weber State College, and intend to return to your home state after the completion of your studies, AND, IF your home state exempts non-residents students from paying for the licensing of their motor vehicles in that state, AND IF you have duly registered your vehicle in your home state and paid the taxes there, THEN YOU MAY 1. Obtain a certificate from the Weber State College Treasurer's Office evidencing the fact that you are a non-resident student in good standing; and 2. Present that certificate to the Security Officer and, upon proper application, receive, for 50 cents, a non-resident permit to operate your motor vehicle in this state for the term of your current Weber registration. 86 Services of the College If you are not entitled to the non-resident permit mentioned above, your vehicle must be registered in accordance with the Utah laws. Attention is called to the possibility that legal difficulties may be encountered by any student who obtains a non-resident automobile permit and votes or hunts as a Utah resident. Every student who is a resident of Utah and every nonresident student who is in Utah for more than 60 days is required to have a Utah Operator's license before he may legally operate a motor vehicle on the highways of this state.
