Because of the rapid advancement in science, high speed production and automation, there is a critical shortage of skilled and technically trained manpower in business and industry. Department of Automotive Engineering Technology John A. Gaz, Chairman Associate Professor, John A. Gaz; Assistant Professor, Blaine M. Hartog; Instructors, Ralph A. Andersen, Bennion L. Tueller. The Automotive Engineering Technology curriculum emphasizes a combination of theoretical and applied sciences and practical skills to prepare students to move into technical positions in the automotive fields such as service salesmen, service managers, parts managers, automotive salesmen, automotive business managers or general manufacturing industries. Department Major—In addition to the general requirements for graduation from Weber State College the following courses, passed with a grade of "C" or better, are required for the departmental major: B.S.
