Consultation & Outreach • Conduct orientation for new international students and scholars • Provide information on international issues to the WSU community • Present workshops pertaining to F-l visas and J-l visas and other immigration related issues to international students and exchange visitors CHILDCARE FOR NONTRADITIONAL STUDENTS Telephone: 801-626-7798 Location: Shepherd Union, Room 322E Web Site: The Hourly Childcare Center is state licensed and is designed to provide flexible hourly or back-up care for the children of WSU students. Children ages two to nine years old may attend. A child may be at the center for a maximum of 20 hours a week, four hours per day, while parents are attending classes, using the computer lab, studying, or using other campus resources. Students must be able to be located on campus. The cost is $3.00 per hour. There is a priority reservation time each semester. Drop-in care is based on space availability NONTRADITIONAL STUDENT CENTER Telephone: 801-626-7794 Location: Shepherd Union, Room 322 Web Site: The Nontraditional Student Center has a lounge, kitchen, computer lab, study area and hourly childcare center (SEE CHILD CARE) to help meet the needs of students who are over 25, married, a parent, divorced or widowed. The center provides free hot drinks daily. Peer mentors are available to have help navigating the campus.
