Aerobics Program 20-30 hours of Drop-In Aerobics classes weekly. • We offer a variety of classes ranging from step, spinning, kickbox- ing, sculpting, yoga, boot-camp and more. Aquatics Program Check pool schedule for specific details. • Lap swimming available early morning, afternoon, evening • Water exercise class • Children and adult swim classes available Fitness & Strength Training Areas Open 90+ hours weekly - Stromberg Center, Promontory Tower Fitness Center (afternoons). • Stromberg and Promontory Tower centers have free weights (Stromberg Center only) and selectorized weight machine stations, stair steppers, recumbent bicycles, elliptical trainers, spinning bikes and more. William Stromberg Center, room 21 • Numerous recreational opportunities involving team/individual competitions including basketball, soccer, softball, flag football, racquetball, tennis, golf, 5k races, etc. Club Sports (16 active clubs) • The club sports program involves students, faculty & staff who compete with college and university teams on a local, state, regional or national level in a variety of sports. Active clubs include men's baseball, billiards, bowling, fencing, ice hockey (Dl, D2), women's lacrosse, martial arts, rodeo, rugby, skiing, men's soccer, women's fast-pitch softball, snowboarding, wrestling, cycling, wheelchair basketball, and water polo. Wilderness Recreation Center and Experiential Learning Located in Annex 9 at 41st street and Taylor on the WSU Campus. • The WRC offers a variety of equipment rentals, outdoor skills workshops, seminars, and recreational trips. Affordable, convenient rentals include snowboards, cross country skis, camping and backpacking gear, white water rafts or kayaks, canoes, and more. Each semester the WRC offers workshops including Weber Rocks indoor climbing wall, open climbing, group sessions, classes, clinics, mountain bike repair, ski and snowboard tuning, backpacking and many others. More in-depth instruction includes a 1-3 day class on rafting, climbing, snow shoeing, mountain biking or cross country skiing. Our experiential education includes half-day or full-day sessions for groups to develop team building, trust, communication and leadership. Shepherd Union Building Telephone: 801-626-6367 Location: Shepherd Union Web Site: The Shepherd Union Building provides a focal point for the Weber State University community through an array of programs, services and operations. The Shepherd Union is undergoing a comprehensive renovation which began in May 2006 and is scheduled to be completed in August of 2008. Throughout the renovation period the Union will maintain key functions and services available for the university community including the Bookstore, Food Services, meeting rooms and conference areas, as well as the following offices: Wildcard, Scheduling/Event Planning and Conferences, and Student Involvement and Leadership.
