Show Sunday. new ward in 33rd. with Norma. Nan home early. Margaret & Martha both working. Nan busy with their superintending. Back & forth to 1420 the girls brot Nan & unpacked china & two more increasing out big mess Mrs. Mickelson & Mary Fischer came & decided the arrangement of furniture Mr. Tribe called in no sale yet. Orem Sessions worked a while at 1420. Tuesday, May 17, Our big project today was unwrapping out 50 birds. Nan placed them artistically on glass shelves in front door shadow box. Mr. Schow came & hung mirrors placed hooks & did other odd jobs. In eve. I to reception at Country Club given by Charles & Alice. Charles president of Medical Society. About 400 present. A successful party. Wednesday, May 18, Of all things Snow falling this am. A dull day. Got a few more thinigs in place. Nans p.m. out. I did some phoning. Various callers pm & eve. Mary & curtain man came & hung living rm. curtains. I think them very dull. Betty, Elizabeth, Don, Edith & Madeline came. In later eve Joe Rosabelle & two little girls visited. Nan home real early. Nan got a truck & hauled away 2 loads. Fine weather early am A lovely day. Thursday, May 19, Both Margaret & Martha working with Nan today. Living room furniture cleaned & some tidying in basement. I to Dr. at Charles office at 1130 a good examination of eyes & felt encouraged. Nan out eve. Furniture came. beautiful pieces, Mr. Tribe, Mr. Wallace (at 11 am) Mr. Schow, all on business. Norma Patterson & grandaughters called in. Nan & I downtown to Cramer (cabinets) & to Ben Marche & got bedroom curtains. Got groceries & came home for a quiet eve. Both tired. Saturday, May 24, Henry & Mary (Goodman) came. A busy & profitable day. Got garage & store room really tidied. Mary helped me to get my clutter, hats, etc nicely arranged Nan & I to dinner at Brylen Desert Inn. TV and tired to day. Mary Fisher & Penny called. |
