I had a nice visit with Mr. Knapp at hospital. A ride over new road at 3 2 at SL. Tuesday, Aug. 2, Mr. Schow brot a tile man & we ordered patio floor. Mrs. Buckner of Highland Ward came to see us. Made arrangements to see an awning man Henry came & did a few chores. Gary on the job the place looks nice, A ride in eve, Got groceries & visited Betty. Wednesday, Aug. 3, Men came to lay tile in terrace Worked all day in 100 degree heat. Nan pm out. Two for refrigerator (ad in paper) Lauries birthday. Word from Edith in cal. Talked with Betty, Margaret. A restful day at home. Nan home early. Temp 100 in Salt Lake to day Thursday, Aug. 4, Did a lot of phoning to sick friends all about house arrangements. Men finished tile in terrace Mr. Schow put ventilating window in utility room. Nan & I to hospital for medicines & to market late pm. Reading political news eve. Friday, Aug. 5, Tile men came & finished the terrace. I paid them 11008 dollars. Very busy all day (Nan & I out to dinner eve fixing up grounds Still very hot. I Mr. Eli Howes died. Nan & I to Lindquists in eve to console with widow. I spent a quiet day, telephone, T.V. & radio. Saturday, Aug. 6, Got a hat at town 11 am. Nan got a hat & dress. Hot day. Home for l lunch & all pm. Nans Betty came & fixed her dress. A ride in later eve. Sunday, Aug. 7, Sunday School 10 am. Got chicken at Mansion House & ice cream at Farms. Had a nice dinner at home.
