Gen-u-wine orchid corsages were the enticements and a lottery based upon the National Selective Service Act Draft (Lundeen, Minnesota; U. S. H. B. Number 121) was used to draft an Orchid Princess. Cinderella Dixon, seeking no deferment, accepted, with a Dixonian smile, a gold locket . . . Red ink will be used, appropriately enough, to record this extravaganza in social history as well as in the memories of those who attended.
