Show bombproof Willis Oborn Made a War The students of Weber College and the residents of Ogden obtained a realistic picture of actual war conditions when they attended Wayne Bundy's "Bomb- proof . . . The action occurs in an excellent copy of bomb shelters below the earth in London, and the lighting and voices directing the war victims in the preservation of their lives and the defense of their city add to the feeling of authenticity created by the production . . . Grant Neuteboom portrayed with sympathy and feeling the young artist who is torn between his desire to preserve his life and his art, while still desiring to do his bit in the defense of his country . . . Gina, played by Donna Marie Curran, makes her audience feel the plight of a responsible but helpless girl who tries to keep Rob from going out into the rain of gunfire . . . Joe, Rex McEntire, brings an element of tenseness into the shelter as he tries to obey the voice of the defense coordinator ordering him out into the battle, even though he realizes the certainty of death, and even though he is sickened by months of killing . . . Mark Austad portrayed with a great deal of understanding the faith and stability of "a man of God in the face of emergency and trial; while the voice of Walter Cable, reverberating through the shelter, directed from the loudspeaker the defense and tempo of the play. The first play of the series easily claimed the attention of its audiences, for its author, Mr. Allred, and the cast presented with appealing humanness the reactions of a sensitive, intelligent college girl who was disheartened by the fact that her campus activity did not include a sorority and the usual round of pleasures enjoyed by an envied class of students . . . The plot concerns Julia's plans to transform her daughter on the night of her first date to the College "Prom." A telephone call brings Margaret's plans for the dance, and her chance to wear her orchids, to an abrupt end . . . Professor Adams, played by Dan Bailey, is an understanding schoolman whose composition of a weighty history is frequently interrupted by requests for his judgment of the dress Julia is making for Margaret's appearance at the "Prom'' . . . Jackie, played by Catherine Woolley, is a collegiate young lady who is well-versed in the motives and activities of people on the campus, but who knows little of writing term papers . . . Koch, played by Keith Wilcox, is an intense young student, devoted to his studies-a person, who, nevertheless, shares Margaret's desires for the fun and activity which seem to belong only to an unattainable set of students at College. orchids for margaret Professor Adams ....
