Show The Wildcats started their football season playing Riverside, California, in a driving rainstorm. This game was played in the Ogden Mud Hole, while drenched fans looked on. The players had to swim, wade, and waddle around to the goals. The score ended in a six to six tie . . . As may be seen by the "action" picture of Weber's game with Albion, the players had to suffer again the hardships of a storm. Most of the Junior College games were held under this handicap. W. C. A. C. 17 Weber 7 November 29 Pasadena J. C. 12 Weber 0 Weber's representative on the All-Conference team was Rawsin "Bones"' Childs. At his end post be played a whale-of-a-fine-game, bringing bis career to a climax in the game with Pasadena. It was after this game that the officials who were in charge of all junior college games played in the Rose Bowl said that Childs was the most outstanding junior college end ever to play in the Rose Bowl. His snagging and hanging onto an almost uncatchable ball while three opponents were knocking him around rated Rawsin this comment . . . Alan Bader, center, is commonly called "Hook" because that is just what he does. In backing up the line on defense, he is one of the first men through to snag the opponent carrying the ball. Alan can shoot the ball at great accuracy and speed to the one named to carry it.
