These computer labs are meant to serve the general needs of any WSU student. Lab hours vary from lab to lab, but overall lab hours range from 6:30 a.m. -12 p.m., and some labs are open seven days a week. • Software for general student needs: Microsoft Office, internet access, Adobe Suite • Software for class-specific student needs: SPSS, Visio, Passkey • PC and Macintosh computers • Scanners, CD burners, color printers • Computers can be reserved in some labs - call or e-mail coordinator • Computer based tutoring in math and English for entire class or individual tutoring • Peer Software Specialists for Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office and Mathematica • Schedule mobile classroom in the College of Social & Behavioral Sciences • All labs provide on-site student lab aide support during open hours Open Student Computer Labs Hours HOURS and software WILL VARY IN EACH LOCATION AND EACH SEMESTER. College Entrance Exams • The National ACT test is administered five times each year • The Residual ACT is administered at least once a month • Test dates and registration deadlines available in the Student Services Testing Center English/Math Placement Tests & CLEP Tests • Placement tests administered daily in the Student Services and WSU Davis Testing Centers • CLEP exams given on a daily basis, prior registration necessary • Credit may be earned for satisfactory scores on department selected CLEP subject examinations • Register for the CLEP exams in the Student Services Testing Center Career and Personal Development Tests • Administered in the Student Services and WSU Davis Testing Centers on a walk-in basis • Students must be referred by a Career or Personal Development Counselor so that the results can be interpreted to meet the specific purpose Graduate School Admission Tests • The MCAT and the Miller Analogy tests are either administered by the Testing Center or registration information is available • Most graduate school admission tests are given on specific test dates. • GMAT and GRE preparatory course information available Weber State University 2009 - 2010 Catalog |
