ANTHROPOLOGY DEPARTMENTAL HONORS Please contact the Sociology & Anthropology Department for advisement and permission prior to enrolling in Honors courses. » Program Prerequisite: Enroll in the General Honors Program and complete 6 hours of General Honors courses. » Grade Requirements: Maintain an overall GPA of 3.3. » Credit Hour Requirements: Fulfill the requirements for the Anthropology departmental Major, of which at least 12 hours must be completed on an Honors basis. A student may receive Honors credit in any Anthropology course. In addition, take 3 hours in an Honors senior project, either ANTH SI4300 or HNRS 4990. ANTHROPOLOGY MINOR AND BIS EMPHASIS » Grade Requirements: Minimum grade of "C" in courses counted toward fumlling the minor (a grade of "C-" is not acceptable) and an overall GPA of 2.00. » Credit Hour Requirements: Minimum of 18 credit hours. Advisement A systematic advisement system assigns all Anthropology Minors and BIS students to a faculty advisor. Students are officially notified that they must be formally advised at least once a year with all contacts posted in their files which are maintained in the department.
