Show Services of the College motor service, transportation, lost and found department, emergency notification of off-campus students, and first aid. The Security office is located at 4040 Tyler Ave., Ogden Utah. If you are temporarily residing in Utah for the primary purpose of attending Weber State College, and intend to return to your home state after the completion of your studies, AND, IF your home state exempts non-residents students from paying for the licensing of their motor vehicles in that state, AND IF you have duly registered your vehicle in your home state and paid the taxes there, THEN YOU MAY 1. Obtain a certificate from the Weber State College Treasurer's Office evidencing the fact that you are a non-resident student in good standing; and 2. Present that certificate to the Security Officer and, upon proper application, receive, for 50 cents, a non-resident permit to operate your motor vehicle in this state for the term of your current Weber registration. If you are not entitled to the non-resident permit mentioned above, your vehicle must be registered in accordance with the Utah laws. Attention is called to the possibility that legal difficulties may be encountered by any student who obtains a non-resident automobile permit and votes or hunts as a Utah resident. Every student who is a resident of Utah and every nonresident student who is in Utah for more than 60 days is required to have a Utah Operator's license before he may legally operate a motor vehicle on the highways of this state. Courses numbered 010 through 099 are terminal courses that ordinarily do not satisfy baccalaureate requirements. Courses numbered 90-99 and 190-199 are workshops, field trips, etc. Courses numbered from 1 through 99 are Lower Division courses usually taken either during the Freshman or Sophomore year. Courses numbered 100 through 199 are Upper Division courses usually taken either during the Junior or Senior year. Abbreviations Used—The following abbreviations are used throughout this catalog: A, Autumn Quarter; W, Winter Quarter; S, Spring Quarter; Su, Summer Quarter. A figure in parentheses (3) means the number of quarter hours allowed for a given course. 75 |
