Show Arts, Letters and Science Departmental Minor in Music—The following requirements are recommended but may be modified to meet individual needs: Music Theory: Music 10, 11, 12. 12 hours Music History and Literature: Music 107, 108 or Music 110, 111. 6 hours Applied Music: 3 hours of major ensemble 3 hours of private lessons Music Education: Music 120 or 130. Total 6 hours 3 hours 27 hours Elementary Music Education Concentration—The requirements listed below are recommended for students who wish to concentrate in elementary school music education. Before pursuing this 39 hour concentration, however, a student should consult his advisor in elementary education for approval.
