Word Recognition Skills (3) Understanding and teaching word recognition skills with emphasis on phonic analysis skills, structural analysis skills, dictionary skills, and spelling. 342. Creative Processes in the Elementary School (3) Development of attitudes, methods and skills in creative teaching. Prerequisite: Junior or senior standing. 346. The Secondary School Student (3) Health, processes of adjustment development of interests, attitudes and values of the adolescent. 352. The Early Adolescent in the Schools (3) Emphasizes the unique developmental characteristics of early adolescent youth (ages 10-14) and how they affect the curriculum, instruction, and programs in middle schools. 144 355.
