Marriott-Slaterville City History February 2019 Marriott-Slaterville Monthly History February 2019 February was a fabulous month for water. We have been blessed to receive several feet of much needed snow in the mountains, which will help immensely with our water needs for the coming summer. Vital statistics for births and deaths that occurred in Marriott-Slaterville City in 2018 were posted in this month's Pioneer Post. Citv Council Meeting - February 21. 2019 - cancelled Planning Commission Meeting - February 19. 2019 Chair Les Syme and Vice-chair Kent Meyerhoffer were unanimously re-elected to continue serving on the Planning Commission in their current positions by acclamation. A Public Meeting was held for the affected entities relating to the proposed Annexation Policy Plan. If the proposed Plan were to take place, it would give the City complete authority of 2700 West, including the bridge over the Weber River. In the future. West Haven City and Marriott- Slaterville would separate 12*^ St, with West Haven City to annex the south side and Marriott- Slaterville the north side. Affected entities were invited to give their input at this meeting, as well as any additional comments for ten days after. A Public Hearing was also held on an amended plat for IFA located at 1069 W 1200 S. IFA would like to combine two lots along the 12'^ St frontage into one lot. Later, IFA contacted the City requesting that this item be postponed due to pending litigation with Weber School District. Weber School District located at 955 W 1200 S desired to amend their Site Plan to provide additional access through IFA property. Staff recommended that this matter also be tabled until the access is resolved. Venture Academy desires to amend their Site Plan in order to construct an addition to their Elementary School. Final approval was granted to amend their Site Plan subject to certain requirements. Bits and Pieces John Wayne Douglass, 80, passed away on February 5, 2019. Judy Ann Stokes DeVries, 78, passed away on February 5, 2019. Taeko Matsuda Yoshida, 101, passed away on February 26, 2019. Wyatt Leo Meyerhoffer, son of Kory and Lindsie Meyerhoffer, was born on February 20, 2019. Thomas Alexander Done, son of Becky and Thomas Done, was born on February 26, 2019.
