The Executive Branch is the administration led by the Mayor. The Legislative Branch is lead by a five (5) member City Council. The Executive Branch handles daily operations, administration, proposes the budget, makes appointments, issues permits, handles complaints, implements policies and services, manages planning and zoning, among other responsibilities. The Legislative Branch is the City Council. The City Council makes laws, adopts the budget, authorizes contracts, confirms appointments, and exercises oversight of the Executive Branch. Two (2) members of the City Coimcil are elected from the East District, and two (2) from the West District. One (1) member of the City Coimcil member is elected At-large. The City holds elections in odd numbered years. Contact the City Office at 801- 627-1919 for more information. Garden Market Bring your garden produce or your crafts to the Marriott- Slaterville Garden Market. Vendor space is free. Come jrowse the Garden Market for some home grown deals. 2019 Dates - Garden Market Saturday, September 7 Saturday, September 14 The Marriott-Slaterville Garden Market is 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at City Hall located at 1570 West 400 North. There is plenty of parking, restroom facilities, and a playground for the kids. Meet your friends and neighbors, and have an enjoyable Saturday morning. Halloween Trunk-or-Treat This event is at the Slaterville Park (250 N 2250 W) on Thursday, October 31"'. Come circle the wagons together around the haunted grounds. Set-up at 4:30 PM. Treats start at 6:00 PM. Entry is free this year! Bring bags of candy to share with your neighbors. Enjoy a hot dog, chips, cookie, and hot chocolate for $3.
