Show Marriott-Slaterville City History November 2019 Planning Commission Meeting - November 19. 2019 The Utah State Legislature met in special session on Monday, September 16, 2019 to modify the Medical Cannabis Act with SB 1002 and discuss how the modifications will impact cities and towns. A Public Hearing was held during the Planning Commission Meeting on the Cannabis Regulations, followed by a discussion as to how this will affect our City. The Commission recommended approval of this Ordinance and forwarded it to the City Council. A Site Plan for AIM Sales located at 1286 S 1200 W was approved subject to several stipulations. This property is zoned Manufacturing and the developer desires to construct two buildings on this parcel for an office/warehouse. A commercial Site Plan for Jay Carnahan at 1077 W 12*^ St was approved for professional services and a restaurant. The approval is subject to certain conditions being met. Another commercial Site Plan for Ty Martinez at 1200 W 1450 S was approved subject to several stipulations. Final approval was granted for the Stanger Subdivision, Phase 3 at 1200 W 700 S. Approval was previously granted for Phases 1 and 2; Phase 3 consists of 18 lots. The final approval is subject to several conditions. Citv Council Meeting - November 21. 2019 Staff distributed the recent election results from Weber County for the City. Dee Christoffersen won the At-Large seat, and incumbents Dennis Ilium and Rob Smout ran unopposed. Council approved the recent updates on the new Historical Markers. The markers will be installed sometime next year. Two new Business License applications were approved: Mike Welch Customs, LLC, 1298 W 1200 S, and K&S Fabricators, LLC, 812 W 1700 S. Weber County Sheriff Ryan Arbon and two other deputies updated the City Council on the new VIPS program, the Weber County Jail and various other issues in the community. After the presentation on VIPS, Council members unanimously approved the City's participation in this program. Resolution 2019-O supporting legislative regulations for electronic cigarettes was passed unanimously by the Council. Ordinance 2019-11 adjusting common boundary lines between Farr West City and Marriott- Slaterville at approximately 971 N 1200 W was approved. The 2020-21 Capital Investments Plan was approved. |
