Show Marriott-Slaterville City History March 2019 Marriott-Slaterville Monthly History March 2019 March has continued to provide ongoing moisture for our area. Utah saw double the normal amount of precipitation we received in February, bringing the state's snowpack levels above normal compared to 2018. On average, the state's snow water equivalent was between 150 to 250 percent of normal, according to the March 1®^ National Resource Conservation Service's most recent Utah Water Supply Outlook Report. Individual SNOTEL sites saw anywhere from 5 to 14 inches of water in the snowpack across the state. If the storm pattern continues through March, we'll be in great shape for a great runoff, hydrologist Troy Brosten wrote in an email. Planning Commission Meeting - March 19. 2019 Preliminary approval with several stipulations was granted to the Brookside Acres Subdivision located at 2424 W 200. City Council Meeting - March 21. 2019 City Council approved three new Business Licenses within the City: Grounds for Coffee, 1690 W 400 N; Las Flores Authentic Mexican, 763 W 12*''; and custom Vapor Blends, 812 W 1700 S. The annual audit for FYE June 30, 2018 was presented by Jeffrey Ambrose, Independent Auditor. Council approved a new security system, including additional HID access cards at a cost not to exceed $500. They also approved a new audio system which converts audio files to required MP3 files so they can be posted on the Utah Public Website. Mr. Morris presented joint Resolution 2019-C updating the Marriott-Slaterville Complex and the City Park rental policy, allowing rental to residents only. This would also include businesses located within the City being able to rent the building and parks as well at resident cost. The Resolution was approved as amended. Mayor Van Leeuwen complimented Lisa Panter on the great job she has done in tracking down businesses that have not been paying sales tax to the City. Lisa replaced Foster Bateman as the Community Development Coordinator. Foster was transferred to Harrisville City, replacing Pam Crosbie as the Finance Officer. He also commended Jeremy Mecham on the great job he is doing. It was announced that Jerry Allen has retired from Bona Vista and was replaced with Blake Carlin. The City has obtained a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) to use for completion of sidewalks, storm drains and secondary water between Heritage Park near 700 S, to the east |
