Show INCREASED ... To meet the growing manpower requirements in the coming year, non-war industry must give some five million employes to war work and the armed services. An additional 3,600,000 persons not now working or not classified as unemployed will enter tvar work or service to swell the manpower figure to 62,300,000. Chart shows the manpower picture today and as it will be a year from now. Figures for women workers, many of whom will go from civilian to war work, are included in top chart.Theyre With Mother on Holiday HAPPY . . . For the first time in four years, the two young men in the above photo, Sergeant M. Kimball Jacobs (left), and Private Grant B. Jacobs, will be able to spend Mothers day at home with their mother, Mrs. Charlotte Jacobs of Riverdale. Both young men are home on a furlough from service with the army. |
