Show Marriott-Slaterville City History September 2019 Marriott-Slaterville Monthly History September 2019 It was hotter than normal at the beginning of September this year. The National Weather Service reported that the temperature at the Salt Lake Airport had hit 100 degrees on September 1'*, the Sunday before Labor Day. This was the first time that the state had hit that temperature in September since September 8,1979. Ogden wasn't quite as hot that day, coming in at 95 degrees, 12 degrees higher than average for that day according to AccuWeather. Temperatures the week after Labor Day remained about 10 degrees higher than average in Ogden. Our annual Halloween Trunk-or-Treat will be held at the Slaterville Park on Thursday, October 3l". Set up begins at 4:30 pm and treats start at 6:00 pm. Entry is free and a hot dog, chips, cookie and hot chocolate can be had for $3. Planning Commission Meeting - September 17. 2019 Final approval was given for Brookside Acres Subdivision on 200 South subject to several stipulations and forwarded to the City Council for their approval. Preliminary approval was granted for Stanger Subdivision Phase 3 located at 1325 W 700 S subject to several requirements. Conceptual approval was granted to ALM Sales Warehousing at 1200 W 1300 S. This property is zoned Manufacturing and the developer desires to construct two buildings on this parcel; the front building is for a copy machine business and the rear lot is for warehousing. Several stipulations were required with the approval. Citv Council Meeting - September 19. 2019 Business Licenses for Workhorse Trailers, LLC, and K&S Fabricators, LLC were approved by the Council. Both businesses are located at 1298 S 1200 W. Marriott-Slaterville City and Farr West would like to adjust a common boundary line near the former Wahlquist Seminary building. A Public Hearing will be held on November 21, 2019 if the Farr West City Council approves the Resolution. Our Resolution 2019-L regarding this matter was passed by our City Council. The Council discussed entering an agreement with UTA for the purpose of exercising powers and privileges that would benefit our citizens and make the best use of their resources, specifically in this case for sidewalk project funding. The Council approved this Resolution 2019-M. The City Council approved Ordinance 2019-05 which combined two separate Ordinances — Community Development and Agriculture in the Community. Doing so clarifies both of them. Council discussed Ordinance 2019-7, repealing and re-enacting Chapter 8.15 entitled "Inspection and Cleaning", updating to the state law; severabillty; and an effective date. The Ordinance was approved. Ordinance 2019-08 to approve the Brookside Acres Subdivision on 200 S was tabled until the Council can review new information. The subdivision has already been given final approval by the Planning Commission. |
