Students desiring a career as a wildlife biologist or wildlife manager, or intending to pursue advanced studies in ecology or conservation biology following graduation (MS or PhD degrees), should minor in Botany. An overall GPA of 3.00 is required for admission to the Teacher Education Program. » Credit Hour Requirements: This major requires 120-124 credit hours. The student must also complete requirements for a secondary education license as determined by the Jerry and Vicki Moyes College of Education. Zoology departmental honors Please contact the Zoology Department for advisement and permission prior to enrolling in Honors courses. » Program Prerequisite: Enroll in the General Honors Program and complete 10 hours of General Honors courses. » Grade Requirements: Maintain an overall GPA of 3.5. » Credit Hour Requirements: Fulfill the requirements for the Zoology major, of which at least 12 hours must be completed on an Honors basis. A student may receive Honors credit for any Zoology course numbered above 3000. In addition, complete the senior seminar with Zoology department Honors credit and the Zoology thesis.
