Show in-the-field train adopted by social science division The big change in the Social Science Division was in the department of sociology. In conjunction with the Utah State Public Welfare Department, the sociology department began an in-the-field training class in social work. The program prepared the senior students to enter the field of social work without advanced degrees. Additional classes in such areas as Latin American and Far Eastern history were planned in other social science departments. Dr. Dello G.
