Show PREFERRED MAN CANDIDATES - Front Row: Tom Halliday, Lindsay Cur Bach Row: Eddie Phillips, Jim Larison, Kent Bulkley. preferred man announced at ball The Associated Women Students sponsored the Preference Ball. Each girl was given the opportunity to choose her King of Hearts for the dance. At the same time, the women students voted for their most preferred man on campus. The winner, Lindsay Curtis, was announced at the ball which was decorated in purple, pink, and magenta. Lindsay Curtis proudly holds the trophy he received as the 1966 Preferred Man. An A.W.S. duet sings for the candidates. Excelsior's winner takes the home stretch. The snow is right for skiing, but a little too wet for snowshoe spills. The spectators find enjoyment, too. clubs participate in snow carnival The social clubs of the campus participated in winter activities at Snow Basin. The competitive fields were skiing, snowshoe racing, and snow sculpture. The snow was perfect for ski racing events which were won by Excelsior and LaDianaeda. The "E" men also won the snow-shoe racing contests. The attractive creations of La Dianaeda, L.D.S., and Excelsior, won for them the sculpturing awards. Spray paint and skillful hands help in creating "frosted fairy tales" for the Snow Carnival. The March Rabbit, one of the outstanding entries, receives last minute touches from Phoenix members. |
