A Montana State skier sweeps through the gate in down hill competition. big sky ski champs fall to third place The defending Big Sky Alpine Skiing Champions fell to third place in the competition because of injuries that stripped the team of any hopes of team finishes. Dale Miller, former Junior National Champion, distinguished himself as one of the top collegiate skiers in the country. Dale is coach Earl Miller's son. He didn't compete in 1965 because of a broken leg. Dan Hinckley, letter-man skier from 1965, broke his leg in the early season and missed most of the events.
