Show Assistant Basketball Coach Phil Johnson and Head Mentor Dick Motta pose for the MOTTA extends personal record to 125 wins Motta extended his personal coaching record at WSC to 125 wins against only 37 losses. In his six years here he has posted 20-win seasons five times. He guided them to their second consecutive Big Sky Athletic Conference Basketball crown. The 8-2 conference mark equalled the Gonzaga Bulldogs who shared the title. Assistant coach Phil Johnson played basketball for Motta in high school and at Weber during the jr. college days. He led the USU Aggies to two straight Far Western NCAA Regional playoffs. He coached the finest freshman basketball team in Weber's history to a season record.
