Show heart fund receives sweetheart ball proceeds The Sweetheart Ball, sponsored by Excelsior Men's Club and Otyokwa Women's Club, was elegantly decorated with red and gold hearts, sparkling gold walls, a rock garden with fountain, and lush, green plants. The annual affair was sponsored to acquire donations for the heart fund. Pictures of candidates for sweetheart king and queen were sent to movie stars for judging. The winners, announed at the dance, were Suzanne Law and Ken Johnson. The formal ball was one of the highlights of the year. The sweetheart king and queen are Ken Johnson and Suzanne Law. Tired feet are a typical problem at the dances. The regal decorations provide an appropriate atmosphere at the formal Sweetheart Ball. A quartet, of Excelsior and Otyokwa, sings the sweetheart song. |
