Show Composed of fifteen representatives, the student senate concerns itself with the rules and laws which pertain to student activities, including political, social, reli-gious, and educational. The senate has life and death power over which groups will receive official recognition and right to use campus facilities. The responsibility has brought fire to the senate more than once during the year. The controversial SDS group, which was rejected is an example of their power. Many smaller and less controversial groups are approved each year and die quietly later, only influenced by the Senate in sematics in the constitution they submit, or legality or small technical problems. The senate has $130,000 to distribute among extra-curricular groups as they see will most benefit the school and students involved. David Yurth, Senior Class President Greg Compton. Junior Class President Wayne Hill. Senator-at-large Fran Wikstrom, President-intra-internal Council Keith Orton. Senator-at-large |
