Show Weber State skiers placed third in the Big Sky Conference Campionships this past winter for the highest team finish ever in the meet. Mark Soderquist finished second and Bob Shane fifth to pick up downhill points. Weber placed five men in the top 17 in the NCAA slalom event and Bell Soderquist, and Shane qualified for the NCAA ski meet and went to the national finals. Coach Earl Miller, who had a strong contender for the Big Sky title early in the season, missed the services of Cal Ross due to a knee injury in midseason.
