The highlight of a girl's college life can be experienced through participation in the Women's Intramural Association. It was their goal to have a sport for every girl and a girl for every sport. Both individual and team sports were offered in an effort to involve every girl on campus. Two separate leagues Club-Dorm and Independents, skiing, swimming, track and field, Softball, and bowling. The officers and advisors were in charge of arranging an Awards Banquet at the conclusion of the school year. The Men's Intramural Association expanded this year at Weber State College as they added more independent teams and more fraternities got their members to participate. According to Coach Dick Williams, who manages or advises the group, a large university feels that an excellent year in intramurals includes about 24 per cent of the students. Weber had a participation of approximately 21 per cent, an excellent growth in comparison with last year. Any man has the opportunity to participate in any number of sports without needing the skill that is shown in profession sports. A special back stage interview with Sam Levenson was one of the occurrences which Press Club members participated in. A newly organized group, it consisted of journalistic minded students who sught answers to questions that a speaker didn't always include in his talk. The varied discussions led from political dig-nitaries to local men or other newspaper writers such as the celebrated Dan Valentine. The club became well enough established that members of the local press showed up for the conferences. It became an asset to both the students and the community.
